The Jainism Emblem- The significance

The emblem consists of 3 parts representing the 3 loks namely: Urdhava Lok or Heaven (the upper somewhat hexagonal part) Adho Lok or Hell (the lower somewhat trapezium part) and Madhya lok or the Material world (the part joining the upper and lower part)
Now the topmost semicircular part is a sybol of what is called Siddhashila it is beyond all the three loks told above... the dot in it represents the Siddhas or the liberated souls (the one who have attained the salvation or moksha) so this means that Siddhas are beyond all three loks even above the heaven.
Just below the semicircular region are 3 dots representing Triratna (3 gems) which are: Samyak Darshan (Right Belief) Samyak Jnaan (Right Knowledge) and Samyak Charitra (Right Character or Conduct) so this means in order to reach the Moksh region you need to be at a position where you have the Triratna.
Now from here we are moving towards the Madhya lok but before that we have the Swastika know the swastika has many parts the 4 lines that make the inner cross, then the 4 lines protruding out of this cross and the 4 regions bounded by them... They represent this
4 Gati or Destiny which are Narak or Demon, Triyanch or Animal, Manushya or Human and Dev or angle now my guess is that if we carefully look the Swastik its like 4 doorways each pointing in different directions so the one pointing below (towards the hell) must be the one representing the Demon, the one to the left must be for Animal (the lower part of the material world) the one to the right should be for human (the upper part of the Madhya Lok) and the one pointing in above direction must be for the Dev.
Apart from this swastik also represents Sadhu Sadhvis Shravak and Shravikas (i.e. monks nuns and male and female laymen) and 4 characterstics of a person Anant Jnan (infinite knowledge) Anant Darshan (infinite perception) Anant Sukh (infinite happiness) and Anant Virya (infinite energy)
Finally, comes the palm known as the Ahimsa Symbol. the palm symbolises fearlessness and the circle inside it is actually the wheel or cycle of reincarnation... There is Ahimsa written in the middle meaning Non- Violence and the 24 spoke represent the teachings of the 24 Tirthankar... Now I understood it in this way that in order to stop this wheel you need to hold all the 24 spokes with the middle part than only you can stop it and come out of it. So, this means in order to get rid of the life and death cycle you need to have all the teachings of the Tirthankar and apply them with non-violence.
So, that it there is a Sanskrit shlok below the symbol sying Parasparopagraho Jeevanam meaning Live and Let live... So all in all its a very intelligent symbol representing the whole concept of Jainism. The symbol was adopted on 2500th Mahavir Jayanti only and has many variations like in western countries Swastik represents Nazi symbol which is considered bad so they have replaced it with Om...
